Regional Senior Accountant

Delta Fuel Company is dedicated to recruiting a strong financial based, self-starter, process-oriented professional to join our team as a Regional Senior Accountant.
This position will provide day-to-day accounting leadership and best practice training for our regional operations across southern regions.
The Regional Senior Accountant works with and supports all departments throughout the organization to identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve business processes, analyze and audit operational data, and financial reporting.

This position may be located at our corporate headquarters in Natchez, MS or Baton Rouge, LA area.
Travel will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Serve as liaison between operations and accounting teams on inventory processes and procedures, including research and analysis of monthly variances o Collaborate with management teams on developing standardized operating procedures and documenting best practice guides o Lead and perform periodic inventory audits to ensure internal accuracy of count and valuation data o Serve as liaison between operations, sales and accounting teams o Assist in variance analysis and work with operational teams to research and resolve potential daily, monthly discrepancies o Support management team with potential M&A and other strategic business opportunities, including assistance with modeling, forecasting and other ad hoc projects o Verify inventory movements are recorded, validated, posted and reconciled daily o Verify and assist operational managers with physical inventory counts o Collaborate with accounting team to conduct financial period closing procedures and account reconciliations o Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management o Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred o 5
years of experience in accounting or similar role o Public accounting / audit experience a plus o Previous experience with the petroleum products industry a plus o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.
) o Comfortable with deadlines and achieving targets or goals o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Ability to travel to operational branches frequently for inventory audits and maintenance with regional teams o Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills o Ability to work independently with attention to details o Strong organization skills and ability to multitaskPI228114105 Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auditing Communication Coordinating Finance Forecasting Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
